Volunteer opportunities with MYWORLD in 2026
MYLONDON contest Camera handout day, St Paul’s Cathedral, Friday 17 July, 2026 (11am - 2pm)
Pre-handout training from 11:00 (health & safety and rules of contest). Participants will arrive from 12 noon, with training and videos being shown from 1pm when we will remind people how to use the camera and the rules of the project, followed by people being allowed to collect their cameras.
Photo pick-up day: helping participants select exhibition photos Friday 14 August (11am - 4pm)
Participants come to pick up their photos and choose three for the exhibition (St Paul’s Cathedal). Please bring a smart phone to interview participants about their photos. Come for a few hours, or the whole day.
Public Vote / Pop-up exhibition late August
In Elizabeth line stations and markets to raise money for the MYWORLD charity as well as asking the public to vote for their favourite photos.
Selling calendars & cards October to December
In Elizabeth line stations, markets and in office reception areas. Help vendors set up and close at the end of the day.

MYLONDON proof reader
If you possess a keen eye for detail, we would value your assistance in editing and proofreading the annual MYLONDON calendar and cards. You will be required to review the proofs for the upcoming 2027 calendar. This role needs to be filled as soon as possible, before the end of August 2026.
MYLONDON calendar vendor support
Could you assist us in supporting our calendar vendors who sell at markets, train stations, and offices? We plan to sell alongside the participants of the MYLONDON project from early October to mid-December. This role involves assisting the vendors in setting up their tables. We will be selling every day of the week. Assistance is required either on Saturdays or Sundays at Spitalfields Market or on a weekday at office buildings or train stations like Ealing Broadway, Canary Wharf, or Woolwich Station.
Salary / Payment
These positions are unpaid volunteer roles.
Volunteers do not receive a salary. They may only be reimbursed for reasonable expenses in accordance with the organisation's policy.
Compliance Statement
These positions are genuinely volunteer roles for a registered charity and do not replace a salaried job within the organisation.
These temporary positions directly support the achievement of charitable goals aimed at engaging people experiencing homelessness in community arts.
MYWORLD confirms that these role meets the requirements of the Charity Worker visa route.
